Hello beautiful people! It’s International Women’s Day. This day is so important because it’s a time to celebrate the achievements and progress of women around the world. It’s a time to recognize the contributions of women in all aspects of life, whether it’s in politics, science, sports, entertainment, or any other field. As a woman entrepreneur who is currently writing with/for many other women, I want to celebrate women comedians because they are smart, talented writers.

The progress women have made in the entertainment industry is pretty impressive. Women like Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, and Joan Rivers paved the way for comedians to be where they are today.

“My whole career has been one rejection after another and then going back and back and pushing against everything and everybody. Getting ahead by small, ugly steps.”

– Joan Rivers

Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, Paula Pell, and Maya Rudolph continue to inspire us with their talent and humor.

But let’s not forget the up-and-coming female comedians who are making waves in the industry today. Women like Ali Wong, Phoebe Robinson, and Natasha Rothwell are breaking barriers and bringing fresh perspectives to the stage.

Let’s celebrate all the amazing women who broke barriers before us, those who make us laugh so hard now they are challenging the strength of our pelvic floor, and the women who will kill us with humor in the future. And while we celebrate, let’s continue to push for equality and representation in all areas of life. You know what? On top of that, let’s empower each other to be the best women we can be.

If you’re an awesome creative woman, let’s support each other! Snag some time on my calendar. Happy International Women’s Day!
